Taylor Thomas and Garrison Fick will lead HBU as competition gets under way Friday at 9:30 a.m. on day one of the SLC Track & Field Championships at Southeastern Louisiana.

Hot weather helped produce hot performances Saturday as HBU's men and women set four school records at the Rice J. Fred Duckett Twilight meet.

HBU's men's and women's track and field teams produced a pair of school records and a passle of personal and season bests Saturday at the storm-shortened Baylor Michael Johnson Classic.

Kierstin Santana was part of two winning efforts and Shawn O'Brien broke his own school record in the javelin Saturday as HBU's track and field teams won 11 events and took three of four dual meets at the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islander Dash.

Freshman Daniel Shelton's record-setting run in the 800 meters Saturday set the tone for a glorious weekend of track and field for HBU's men and women at the 33rd Rice Victor Lopez Classic.

All four HBU squads ran well Friday at the 88th Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin.
